Technology
SensoRail is a device that can be attached to the Locomotive to detect infrastructural damage or potential failures in real time. These problems include Flat Wheel, bearings damage, couples disconnectivity, breaking system malfunctions and any kind of movements on the rail such as animals, rocks, falling trees and more. We intend to use advanced technology to give high accuracy measurement and alerts with no false alarms and monitor the railway by using the train itself.
Smart sensors and signal processing employed in SensoRail will detect different changes on the train carriage or the movement of the wheel on the rail, and through each sensor it will be possible to know what and where exactly the fault is, what risks may be involved accordingly, and how much time is left for the failure to affect the train or the rail and make danger.
These sensors combined with further smart sensors and signal processing techniques can detect here repairs are required avoiding for example in the case of bearings damage changing all the bearings because one cannot detect exactly which one is the damaged one. The process currently employed is reactive, costly and wasteful; SensoRail aims to address this. Earlier and cataloged detection through smart sensors and intelligent signal processing enables predictive and itemised maintenance.

HOW IT WORKS?
One of the most affected sensors in “SensoRail” device the microphones (MEMS) and the smart algorithm which able to distingue between the normal and abnormal noises and send alerts with accurate location.
The “SensoRail” device using different installation depends on the needs.
installation cases
Mode 1:
The sensor detecting any unusual sound and vibration coming through the railway in real time. Each sound wave will be unique and will be classified as a different failure.
Mode 2:
The SensoRail sensors able to generate high audio frequency through the railway to detect failures between two sensor points, both sensors will generate and received these signals to process it.

The Team
Anwar Almojarkesh
Machine learning & Acoustic engineer
An actual rocket scientist with a huge background in creating solutions tacking critical problems in our daily life, Anwar working on the acoustic sensor side and machine learning algorithm that detect all abnormal sounds and type of the failures in real time.
Mohamad Eid Shalabi
Material Specialist
Mohamad is a materials specialist of transmitting acoustic through the solids and friction roughness, using the right material is the core of this sensor, materials can act as a low pass or high pass filter, for allowing only transmitting low frequency we will use a material same as a human bone.
Bassam Almojarkesh
Sound Classification algorithm
Bassam the brain of the compnay as he is responsible for creating the core algorithm with Anwar, the algorithm that detects all hazards using advanced sound classification algorithms, each sounds that has a unique fingerprint and their own technique to be detected accurately
